Women of First

The women’s ministry at First Baptist Belton seeks to minister to women of all ages and all walks of life. Come join us as we seek to know our heavenly Father in a deeper more personal way through fellowship, Bible study, and mentoring. We have a number of ministry opportunities available!

Bible Study

We have several new and different studies going on each semester. Find a class to plug into below:

by Priscilla Shirer
Begins Sunday, January 15, at 4:15 pm Facilitated by Denise Whitley in room 259

Do you feel that the ability to hear God’s voice is for other people and not for you? Discerning the Voice of God provides participants with practical help in knowing if what you hear is from God. Through this study you will become more familiar with God’s Holy Spirit, His character, His language and His tone of voice.

A study of 2 Corinthians by Kelly Minters Begins Monday, January 8, at 7 pm
In the home of Ronda Leech
1007 Terra Alta Belton

Facilitated by Ronda Leech

Over 8 sessions, Kelly Minters will lead you through the letters of 2 Corinthians, exploring the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening wide your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships and what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant.

WHAT LOVE IS – The Letters of 1, 2, 3 John

by Kelly Minter
Begins Wednesday, January 18, at 9:00 Facilitated by Jill Read and Suzi Parchim

Discover what love truly is. At a time when the word love means just about anything under the sun, John tells us “this is what love is …… “And then he shows us Jesus. John anchors us to the

truth in a culture that has lost its way. He separates light from darkness, o ers community for loneliness and rest for our striving. Throughout his letters John gives us the ultimate gift of assurance: we can know that we know Jesus.

Workbooks have been reserved at Lifeway Temple for you to purchase or contact Jill Read (254)718-1637 if you need assistance getting the books.

Shoulder to Shoulder

Shoulder to Shoulder is a ministry to women of all ages. Zephaniah 3:9 says “For then I will give to the people purified lips, that all of them may call on the Lord, to serve Him shoulder to shoulder.” Our aim is for women across the age spectrum to come together, call on the Lord and serve Him shoulder to shoulder. S2S groups are small groups women of various ages that meet monthly for a couple of hours. The purpose is to make friends across the generations. The leaders of each group provide a short devotion at each meeting that requires no preparation ahead of time. The study for 2017 will center on how Jesus has impacted history and changed cultures across the ages and globe. This comes from John Ortberg’s book Who Is This Man? If you would like to join a group for the remainder of 2017, please contact Michelle Masters.
