Successfully Teaching and Reaching Someone Special
“He has made everything beautiful” Ecclesiastes 3:11
The STARSS Ministry exists to reach those with special needs for Christ. Our desire is to welcome all families with special needs, and to be an encouragement and support.
Our passion is to educate through the teaching of Bible truths and scripture in laying Christian foundations for each individual. We encourage spiritual growth for parents and family members through the variety of activities offered at First Baptist Belton.
Our Programs
Small Group Bible Study (SGBS) – The STARSS small group meets at 9:45 am in Room 124D.
STARSS Night Out – The STARSS Night Out (respite) is scheduled on a quarterly basis. We enjoy an evening of games, open gym, food, fellowship and fun! This allows parents an opportunity for an evening out while their child enjoys a fun evening at church with their STARSS friends!
STARSS Fellowships (SGBS) – The STARSS SGBS class has a fellowship at least once per quarter. This is an event for the STARSS class and their family members to meet other families and enjoy a fun-filled event together. These events are usually held off campus. Watch for details about the next fellowship – coming soon!
A+ Support Group – FBC Belton and the Children’s Special Needs Network have joined efforts in holding a monthly Autism Support Group for families, siblings, educators, ministry leaders, medical personnel, and anyone interested in learning more about children who are affected by an Autism Spectrum Disorder, disability, or chronic medical illness. The support groups meets on the third Saturday of each month. To find out more, please call Tracy O’Banon at (254) 760-2342.
