ARCHIVE: Missions Review

You are currently viewing an archived news item.

During last night’s business meeting it was suggested that we share with the congregation the total amount spent by the church on missions. As of November 30, we have spent $749,415.05 this year on missions, which is 21.7% of the church’s total expenses.

This includes not only those dollars from the church budget, but also the special mission offerings, designated donations to a variety of mission activities including Helping Hands and Apple Tree, as well as sending people on church-sponsored short-term mission trips around the world.

Over the last six years we’ve increased our missions giving an average of about 8% each year. In fact, since 2002, we’ve given over $3.8 million to mission efforts.  For those interested in the total amounts spent in other categories, or want other detailed information please email Alan Ivy or contact him at (254) 939-0705.
