All men from any adult small group is welcome to come.  Also, feel free to bring friends.  However, the number of spots is limited to 30! God has brought over 360 children to our gym to hear the saving gospel of Jesus Christ! Many of them will taste and see that the Lord is good for the first time this season. In order to equip our entire church to pray for Upward basketball, our recreation intern, Steven Hill, has written a three-week prayer guide.

Our church is putting together some men’s basketball teams to play in the City of Temple church league. Games will be on Monday and/or Wednesday evenings from December 7-February 10.

The cost is $40 per person, jersey included. The league is open to men, ages 16 and up. If you are interested in playing, contact Dave Covington.

Each player must attend one of the following Evaluation Nights:

• October 26 between 6 – 7:15 pm
• October 27 between 6 – 7:15 pm
• October 29 between 6 – 7:15 pm

Our goal is to use this basketball league to share the love of Jesus with students from our church and our community.

Practices begin the first week in January, and games run through early March.  The early registration cost is $70 per child; after October 16, the cost is $80.

We will be baptizing several people at the water park that night, so you won’t want to miss it. We will all take a break and join for baptism at 7 pm at the end of the blue slides. All baptismal candidates should contact Vicki Wetherbee as soon as possible and plan on meeting at 6:30 pm at the volleyball courts at Summer Fun.

We had a record number of participants sign up this year.  We have 33 players enrolled this season, and we will begin practice on Mondays at 6 pm starting July 6.  We are excited to get the season underway and see what God has planned for Buddy Ball 2009!
