The children ministry at First Baptist is an exciting place for 1st through 6th graders to experience the love of Christ. Join us on Sunday for Sunday School at 9:00 am or 10:30 am.
Mission Organizations
We offer Royal Ambassadors (RA’s) for boys and Girls in Action (GA’s) for girls. They reach out to others by collecting shoes for children at the Texas Baptist Children’s Home, stocking shelves at Helping Hands, and so much more. The children meet from 4:45-5:45 p.m. weekly. Discipleship Training
- Bible Drill (4th-6th Grade) and Bible Buddies (3rd Grade) A fun and exciting way to help children memorize Scripture, key passages, and the books of the Bible.
- New Christian’s Class A class to disciple children who have recently made a profession of faith in Christ.
- Kid’s Connection in Worship A children’s bulletin created to involve children in the worship service.
Sixth Grade
- Our sixth graders are invited to all of the children’s activities. However, on Sunday mornings they attend Small Group Bible Study with seventh and eighth graders in the gym. They have the opportunity to participate in Grapple, a high energy Bible Study that also allows students to connect with each other through a Web site during the week.
