Children Ministry

Preschool

Welcome! At First Baptist Belton, we believe children are a gift from God to be handled with love. Your experience here is important to us!

The purpose of the preschool ministry is to reach preschoolers and their families for Christ. To meet this goal, we strive to provide a safe, healthy and loving environment while meeting the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of preschoolers.

Our desire is to educate preschoolers through the teaching of Bible truths and to involve the church family in laying Christian foundations for each individual preschooler. We encourage family worship and spiritual growth for parents and their preschooler through the variety of programs and activities offered at First Baptist Belton.

Children (Grades 1-5)

The children’s ministry at First Baptist is an exciting place for first through fifth graders to experience the love of Christ. Join us on Sunday for small groups at 9:45 am.

Mission Organizations
We offer Royal Ambassadors (RAs) for boys and Girls in Action (GAs) for girls. They reach out to others by collecting shoes for children at the Texas Baptist Children’s Home, stocking shelves at Helping Hands, and so much more. The children meet from 4:45-5:45 pm weekly. Call the church office for more information.

Discipleship Training

  • Bible Drill (4th-6th Grade) and Bible Buddies (3rd Grade) A fun and exciting way to help children memorize Scripture, key passages, and the books of the Bible.
  • New Christian’s Class A class to disciple children who have recently made a profession of faith in Christ.
  • Kid’s Connection in Worship A children’s bulletin created to involve children in the worship service.

Kingdom Kids

Our Purpose
Kingdom Kids is a ministry for preschoolers and children (birth – sixth grade). While parents attend approved church events, their child can learn God’s Word with other children their age.

Kingdom Kids leaders teach Bible truths through a variety of age appropriate activities, including center play, outside activities, group and individual story time, and music time. The purpose of the Kingdom Kids Ministry is to help lay the foundation for future disciples of Christ.

Our Leadership
Kingdom Kids leaders must complete a thorough application process, including a background and reference check. In addition, all leaders are CPR/first aid certified, and attend monthly training sessions. The Kingdom Kids Ministry schedules two leaders per room, and follows BGCT guidelines regarding adult/child ratios.

Child Safety
We have taken the steps to ensure a safe environment for children in Kingdom Kids. Some of those include:

  • Secured entrance to the Preschool hallway
  • Security Leader on duty during Kingdom Kids events
  • Security cameras in the Preschool hallways and entrances
  • Security cards
  • Parent signature required on the class attendance sheet
  • Two adult policy
