
Recognizing that “meeting together” (Hebrews 10:25) is a vital part of the Christian life, each age level Small Group Bible Study group has fellowships throughout the year. Some departments have monthly dinners out together.
In an effort to stimulate cross-generational activities and to allow time for members to just “hang out,” there are scheduled church-wide fellowships after the evening service in the church gym many times each year.
Fresh Start Divorce Recovery – This 5-week support group is held twice a year, or as needed. There is a workbook to be purchased for $15 to be used in this interactive group.
Super Senior Support Breakfast – Quarterly, on the last Thursday, widows and widowers are invited for breakfast and short entertainment. Some months breakfast is cooked at the church, and some months participants are asked to bring their favorite breakfast food to share. Occasionally, meetings are held in the clubhouse of an apartment complex where our members reside.
Grief Support Groups – Meet as needed.
The Golden Age Club meets the 1st Tuesday of each month. A covered dish meal is served, and a speaker or other form of entertainment is provided. The group also goes on monthly trips, including a mission trip to the border. An annual “Big Trip” has included such places as Washington, D.C., the Northeast, Canada, and a Carribean cruise. The women’s ministry opportunities at FBC Belton are as varied as the women who make up our family. There are mission groups, prayer groups, Bible studies of various types, and share groups for young mothers. There are groups that meet in the daytime, and groups that meet in the evenings.
Tuesday morning is the time when many groups meet.
The Women’s Mission & Ministry is a vital part of the women’s ministry at FBC Belton, providing impetus for the mission organizations and special mission offerings. There are mission study groups, both morning and evening on the 2nd Monday of the month and another the morning of the 3rd Thursday. These groups study about & pray for our foreign and national missionaries and participate in hands-on projects locally.
THURSDAYS
Ladies meet at 10 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month for Casseroles for Christ. They provide casseroles for families in times of illness or crisis.
Sunday Evenings there are a variety of discipleship offerings for individual growth in Christ-likeness and for those who may be interested in improving their marriage or parenting skills. Beth Moore studies are offered many semesters.
The most exciting aspect of ministry at FBC Belton is that God brings the right people, with the right gifts to begin new women’s ministries every year. Could you be one of those women?

6:30am-7:30am, Wednesday mornings, room 126 (enter building at South covered entrance by the rose garden). This is a time of prayer, accountability and Bible study. From this group there are opportunities to connect for one-on-one mentoring and/or build strong friendships and relationships. Men from college students to retired guys enjoy this rich time of fellowship with other brothers’a pot of hot coffee is always ready for those who arrive early to visit. Legacy Outfitters is a Men’s Outdoor Ministry, meeting the second Tuesday of each month at the Centex Sportsman’s Club at 6:30 pm. Contact Larry Thompson for more information at 254-760-7801.
