During this time of transition, I have asked Dave Covington, our Recreation Director, to take on the added responsibility of Interim Assistant Children’s Minister. We need Dave to help us in our on going ministry to children and to help us in preparation for the changes coming following the adoption of the Strategic Plan by the church on Sunday night.
Dave will work with our Children’s interns, Melinda Tyler and Chloe Cox, in ministering to our children and their families. Meanwhile, we are searching for God’s person for our next full time minister.
Dave will continue to lead us in our recreation ministry without any lessening of responsibility in that area. In a word, I am asking Dave to assume more responsibility. He will do it well and with enthusiasm. Pray for Dave in this position, and give assistance and service as requested for the glory of God and the blessing of our children.
