A total of $13,787.00 was given toward our Lottie Moon offering for International Missions this past Sunday. To date, we have reached 22.2% ($16,683.01) of our goal of $75,000. This is a wonderful beginning! I want to remind you all that 100% of this offering goes to the support and ministries of our International Mission Board missionaries all over the world!

Let me share with you a practical example of where our offering monies go in support of the work of our international missionaries. Recently we had a volunteer team from our church go to Paris, France to minister among West African immigrants. We have one International Mission Board couple who is working among the West Africans (estimated some 500,000 to 800,000 living in the Paris region).

The Powells travel often and sometimes rather great distances to witness and minister to the West African immigrants, the majority of whom are Muslims, living in apartment buildings all over Paris. With your offerings, the Powells’ transportation costs to travel on the Paris subway system and train system are 100% covered! What a financial burden is lifted because of the faithful giving of Southern Baptists here at home!

It is estimated that at least 50,000 West Africans have seen the JESUS film through the faithful work of our missionaries on the field and volunteers who have joined them in this ministry.
