Why Do We Give To The Local Church?

“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…”
(Psalm 24:1)

As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources because He is the owner of all that we have. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.

How do we give?

At First Baptist we have a couple of ways that you can give to God’s work through your tithes and offerings. You can give by check or cash on Sundays, or you can mail or drop off a check to our offices.  You may also choose to use the online bill pay service provided by your bank.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a strategy that makes benefits available for you as well as First Baptist Church. Some of the benefits to you can include savings on current income taxes, better control of your estate, and reduced taxes for your heirs. You may find more information about planned giving options including bequests, life insurance, securities, etc.

Online Giving

We do not currently offer online giving through our Web site.  However, a number of people in our congregation give online by using the free bill pay services provided by their bank.
