Daniel Palmer and Scattered Leaves are coming to First Baptist Belton on November 6 at 6 pm.

According to their Web site, Daniel Palmer and Scattered Leaves is a band that formed around a mutual appreciation for chocolate covered donuts on a Sunday morning and “wannabe rock star personas.”  They felt compelled to take their pursuits to the road.

Huntingtown, Maryland is where they call home, and their regular Sunday morning gig is why they do what they do. Their desire is to create melodies that take people on a journey that stirs their souls. Musical influences are as eclectic as the personal backgrounds and interests of the band members.

Their sound is often compared with modern rock such as Anberlin, MuteMath and Lifehouse; 80’s ballads much like the creations of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard; and even southern rock, you know, Texas stuff and much more. They enjoy performing traditional church anthems as you might hear sung by Joe Elliot of the aforementioned Def Leppard … minus the British accent, of course.
