Church Activity Weekly Update 6/27/20

Church Family:

After much prayer and discussion, we are announcing a cancellation of in person worship services at the church until at least July 12. This is a painful but necessary step, fully supported by the Elders. The enormous rise in positive COVID cases, the fact that many people carry the virus but without symptoms, and in light of the statements by our County Judge and Governor this week, we feel that we best serve our community by not having multiple gatherings in our building. We will keep you informed as we move forward. Please help us get the word out to those who do not have email.

Sunday worship will continue via You Tube, Facebook, or Vimeo with services posted by 8:30 am. You may watch anytime you choose after the posting.

Zoom Sunday School will continue. Most classes meet at 10 am Sunday. If you are not certain about your class or department, check the church web site at www.fbcbelton.org or call your teacher.

Beginning June 29, all scheduled in-person activities are cancelled for now. The physical church office will be closed but the phones will be answered during normal business hours. Staff will be available by phone if you need them. Contributions will be processed. Stay in touch by checking the web site.

I love you, church. I pray for you constantly. I was loving the regathering worship services. I am sad about this. But I know in my heart that this is the right thing to do. Stay faithful and prayerful. God will lead us through this.
