Minister for Childhood Education
Interim Director of Kingdom Kids
Our goal is that families will learn, believe, and live out the gospel together. We believe that parents are the first and most effective communicators of the gospel to their children. Therefore, the children’s ministry at First Baptist Belton desires to equip families to love God, teach the Bible within their home, and to serve others faithfully. We provide weekly opportunities and special events that are engaging and age-appropriate, so children can learn more about Christ and what it means to follow Him. If you’d like more information about the children’s ministry please contact the church for more information.

Children are invited to join us every Sunday morning at 9:45 am for age-appropriate Bible lessons. We offer classes for children age birth through fifth grade.
AWANA is a weekly ministry that introduces children to Jesus Christ and builds a Biblical foundation for faith. Kids will have fun learning through story, music, games, and missions.
New Christians Class
This short four week course is offered twice a year on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. Its purpose is to help grade school-aged
children who are new believers in Jesus Christ to learn the importance of following Him on a daily basis. Participants in this course receive a personal copy of the curriculum along with a journal to
highlight key points.

The Kingdom Kids Ministry of First Baptist Belton provides care and teaching for preschoolers and children (birth – 5th grade) at times when their parents are participating in other church activities, such as evening worship service, discipleship training, choir practice, meetings, and many other events.
The goal of the Kingdom Kids Ministry is to assist families in creating a firm foundation for the development of the mind and heart of each child by incorporating the Word of God using age-appropriate activities and play.
Family Easter Celebration
Families are invited to our annual celebration of Christ’s resurrection. Depending on the year, our activities/events might vary, but our focus is always set on Christ’s victory over sin and death. In addition, we typically offer a fun and very large egg hunt at the end of our celebration event.
Summer Road Trips
The Childhood Education Ministry is quite active during the summer months. One aspect of our summer programming consists of our monthly road trips. These day trips are offered for students who will have completed first through the fifth grades. Our road trips normally revolve around local area service projects, museums, putt putt golf, bowling, ministry at local area retirement centers, prayer walking around local area elementary schools, kickball, and usually lots and lots of pizza! Some road trips are free, while others will have a minimal cost and registration/sign-up requirements.
Students who will have completed third through fifth grade are invited every summer to attend Preteen Camp. This one week camp is designed to help lead preteen aged students closer to Christ through worship, Bible study and fellowship with other Christian believers. Also, the Childhood Education Ministry is proud to have a very good adult sponsor-to-child ratio for this out of town activity.
Vacation Bible School
Our annual VBS is always one of the most exciting weeks in the life of our church. This five day ministry point occurs each summer and allows children to learn about Jesus in a fun and safe environment. Along with the help of many adult volunteers, each child can anticipate enjoying the theme of the week through Bible study, music, missions, snacks, and recreation. You will want to build your summer calendar around this special event.
Families are invited to join us for this fun and festive annual event each year on October 31. We offer games, inflatables, face painting booths, snacks, and much more. It is our intent and hope to offer a safe and family-friendly environment to both our church family and surrounding community.
Family Night in Bethlehem
Family Night in Bethlehem is a program put on by the children of our church to present the story of Jesus’ birth. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to be a part of this program one Sunday night in December each year.
