Military Family Night Out is scheduled for September 12. This is a great time to go on a date with your spouse, go out with a friend, run errands, or just take a break. Your children will have fun being taught about Jesus Christ and playing with friends in our Kingdom Kids Ministry (infants through 6th graders). To register your child(ren) for Kingdom Kids please contact Treasure Hanna at (254) 939-0705 or e-mail by the 9th.
If you missed August’s Military and Veterans Fellowship, please don’t miss out on September’s! We had a wonderful time full of laughter, stories, support, and encouragement. Not only that, but the food was fabulous! I am pretty sure I devoured 5 different desserts after filling up on a wonderful selection of casseroles, meats, potatoes, and salad. Don’t forget the sweet potato dumplings - WOW - so very good! We had such a great evening of sharing stories and learning from one another. I am already looking forward to next month’s event.
Please join us for our next Fellowship on September 19 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. It will be held at the home of Charlie and Shelly Moehlenbrock. Their address is 237 Wayne Drive in Nolanville, and their phone number is (254) 393-1646. Kingdom Kids is available. If you are interested in reserving a spot for your child(ren), please contact Treasure by September 16. For everyone planning to attend the fellowship, please RSVP to Jessica Alley by e-mail or (254) 939-5105 by noon on September 18, so that we can have an accurate head count for seats and drinks. Please bring your favorite dish, your spouse, and a friend and be prepared to see old friends or make new ones. For those who have husbands deployed, you are encouraged to come and meet others who are in similar situations or have been there before. If you have any questions please email me. We look forward to seeing you there!
Also, mark your calendars for these upcoming events:
Military Awareness Activity: We will have a table in the foyer of the sanctuary on September 21, 28, and October 5. Please come by before or after the worship service and see how you can be involved in our Military Ministry!
Future Military Family Night Outs: October 10, November 14, December 12
Future Military and Veterans Fellowships: October 17, November 21, December 19
Veterans Breakfast: November 9. More info to come.

What a great evening we had to reconnect after a long week with other military families facing the same challenges we face in today’s military world. I really enjoyed spending time with those who have had more experience with military life and could mentor us who are currently living a military life. The food was amazing (esp Emily’s sweet potato dumplings)! We had such a good time that time got away from us! “What time is it?” Thanks for a fun evening! See you next month!

Thank you Craig & Kay for opening up your home and allowing us to gather together for a DElicious meal. I walked into the fellowship a weary warrior and departed with renewed energy. Hearing everyone’s stories reminded me I’m not the first to journey down this depoloyment path and I’ll thrive through the power of my Bridegroom. I’m anxiously awaiting our “Kitchen aid station” time in September.
