July is an incredible month for missions and other life-changing trips.  We request your prayers this month for the following groups.

July 13-19 Student Life Camp
July 20-27 Brazil Mission Trip
July 21-24 Life Camp
July 28-31 Project Belton

Student Life Camp

82 of our teenagers and adult sponsors will be headed to Durango, Colorado for summer camp.  Some specific things to be praying for are:

  • Salvation of youth
  • Safety as we travel
  • Strong sense of community would be built
  • God would clarify His calling on some students lives (going into ministry, missions, etc…)
  • Rest and refreshment for the sponsors going

Brazil Mission Trip

A group of 28 people will be headed to Brazil to work with “Missions of Integrity.”

  • Pray for Andy and Phyllis Anderson to be able to get on a standby flight next week. If they don’t get on, then they don’t go. Then we’d be down to 24 people.
  • Pray for Barbara Pickett as she stays in Belton (vs. going to Brazil) and heals from a broken leg.
  • Pray for smooth entry through customs in Sao Paulo and Rio.
  • Pray for expectancy and unity with our group.
  • Pray for our hearts, minds, and bodies to be consumed by God’s grace.
    • Grace to ready our minds for action.
    • Grace to soften our hearts for compassion.
    • Grace to equip our bodies to labor with love.

Life Camp

There are 89 campers and counselors registered to attend our children ministry’s Life Camp. Please be in prayer for these specific requests:

  • Campers to be receptive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and decisions that will be made
  • Counselors and camp staff to make the most of every opportunity to be used by God
  • Safety
  • Sensitivity to the individual needs of the campers and counselors
  • Wisdom and discernment in making decisions affecting campers
  • Open hearts, positive attitudes, patience, and gentle spirits
  • Good time for everyone

Project Belton

Project Belton is a local mission/outreach opportunity for youth.  Some specific items to be in prayer about are:

  • All jobs getting completed
  • Opportunities to share our faith while we work on homes in the community
  • Youth would see the impact they are having
  • God would keep our youth safe as they work
  • God would protect our attitudes as we’re with each other all week working and getting hot
  • Our youth would truly learn about putting others first
  • Our youth would realize what a difference they can make in Belton

Your prayers for all four trips are vital.  Can we count on you to be a prayer warrior this month?

Reckon you could post a list of the people who are going to Brazil so we could pray more individually? Thanks.

Following is a list of those who are going on the Brazil mission trip, coincidentally leaving today. It’s early Sunday Morning, you are all on my heart and prayers — HUNDREDS of prayers are going up for you — Many classes will also be praying for you all today and throughout the week. Continue to allow your LIGHT to shine brightly and expel the darkness. His spirit of love, grace, peace, patience and strength is upon each of you!

Seize every opportunity, you are making a difference in eternity by your every effort. The Lord is with you! Your encouragement to those around you is so very important.
    In His love, Fran Strange
