Ola! God has been so good to us during our time in Brazil! All flights into the country went off without a hitch. There has been absolutely great weather with no rain (a miracle for this time of year), and no injuries to anyone in our team.

Our work with local children has been blessed tremendously, and the ministry is growing everyday. Team members Barry Elkins and Tyson McLaughlin have also had great success in their ministry to a local soccer camp. The kids have really enjoyed their American soccer “skills.” Both of these ministries have been a great joy to watch and be a part of.

Doctors have been seeings LOTS of patients. The Brazilian people have been very receptive to the medical care. This is also giving us a prime opportunity to share the Good News with locals.

We have spent many days divided into three teams of three Americans doing street evangelism in and around Vitoria. Over thirty Brazilians have given their lives and hearts to Jesus! What’s even more exciting is that a large portion of these thirty have been young people between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. We have been absolutely overjoyed at God’s work in the hearts here!

Finally, a prayer request. The church we have been constructing is almost complete! The roof is on, the paint is finished, and the electrical work is done. That also means it is time to dedicate the building. At 5:30 PM CST (that’s your time!) we’ll be having a dedication service at the church. Literally hundreds of locals have told us they will come out to see this new building. I (Jason) will be preaching at the service. It will be an incredible opportunity for masses of Brazilians to hear the gospel and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Please be praying over the next few days as we prepare for 5:30 PM on Friday evening.

There is much more to share, but it will have to wait until another date. Your prayers for us have been a greater help than you can ever know. Please continue to pray for our wisdom, energy, and safety. Most of all, be praying that the people of Vitoria, Brazil come to know Jesus as their Savior and find their hope in God alone!
