Dear Ones:
Good evening from Vancouver! This morning our team spent some valuable time discussing what recommendation we would bring to the missions committee of our church for partnering with the All Nations Church. Thank you for praying with us during this time!
After lunch and a brief time of rest/relaxation in our rooms, we left to drive to the campus of the University of British Columbia in order to meet with the student ministries team members to hear about their vision for reaching this huge campus of 45,000 students! The total number of believers on campus is just 600 to 800!! We split up into three smaller teams and prayer walked three regions of this enormous campus. We then all met back at the student union building in order to go to eat the evening meal with 2 of the members of the student ministries team where we spent some more time dialoging with them. Although we will be sharing more of what we learned with our church family, I want to say to all of you who are reading this that the number one request that came from the student ministries team was people who would commit to be long-term prayer partners! They realize the incredible importance of prayer above all other requests…that really touched my heart!
Tomorrow morning we will meet with Jeffrey and Ring Kwok. Jeffrey served as pastor of our Chinese congregation in the past. We want to hear from him so that we can challenge our own Chinese congregation to consider partnering with the Kwoks in ministry here. In the afternoon/evening we will be with Andrej and Anna Voth again (All Nations Church) to dialogue with them some more and perhaps do more prayer walking.
Please mark your calendars to come hear our report to the church family Sunday evening, 07 October. We are really excited about sharing with you all how the Lord has blessed each one of us as we have had this awesome opportunity to join along side our brothers and sisters in Christ in ministry in the greater Vancouver area!
Blessings and love to all!
