For those of you in the Central Texas area and are into the outdoors (hunting, fishing, camping, etc), you need to check out Legacy Outfitters. This is an awesome organization that combines the outdoors with Christian brotherhood through fellowship and common bonds.
Even if you are not the outdoors type, their next meeting (July 10 at 6:30PM) is featuring guest speaker CPT Nathan Self is an opportunity that you cannot miss. Nathan is a former Army Ranger Captain. If you watched Dateline NBC on June the 11th 2006 or on June 23rd 2007, Nathan and his wife Julie were interviewed by Stone Phillips in a program called Rescue on Roberts Ridge. Nathan was the Army Ranger Captain that was on a rescue mission that was ambushed by al Qaeda in the Afghanistan mountains.
For more information about location or who to contact click here to check out the Belton-Temple Chapter’s website.
By the way, if you missed the Dateline special featuring the Selfs, you can download it on iTunes for $1.99. I highly recommend it.
